Held at NAB-K’s Bengaluru campus\, the celebration brought together students\, families\, staff\, and community allies in a warm\, inclusive atmosphere. \nThese graduates\, having completed weeks of rigorous\, hands-on training\, symbolized determination and growth. Their newfound confidence underscores the transformative power of structured training\, community support\, and unwavering belief in potential. \nThis celebration is more than a milestone—it’s a testament to the impact of dedication\, personalised support\, and community engagement in empowering individuals with visual impairments.

DESCRIPTION:DEI Event of the Year \nOn 17 May 2025\, the District DEI (Diversity\, Equity\, and Inclusion) Committees of Rotary Districts 3192 and 3191 hosted a meaningful session on Digital Accessibility at the National Association for the Blind\, Karnataka (NAB-K). This marked the culmination of our DEI events for the 2024-25 Rotary year\, with a focus on fostering inclusive access to digital platforms for all. \n \nWe were honoured to welcome Rtn. Mahadev Prasad NS\, District Governor\, RID 3192as our guest of honour\, whose presence underscored Rotary’s commitment to promoting inclusion and accessibility. \nA key highlight was the inspiring keynote by Rtn. Srinivasu Chakravarthula\, Director of Product Accessibility at Freshworks\, and a proud member of Rotary Bangalore. His talk – Digital Accessibility Matters: Why Rotary Must Ensure Inclusive Access to All Digital Content – shed light on the importance of designing digital spaces that are welcoming and inclusive for everyone. \n \nParticipants also explored our Experience Zone gaining firsthand insights into how individuals with disabilities navigate digital tools. Additionally\, a segment on smartphone accessibility features offered practical tips to enhance usability. \nThe event empowered attendees with simple\, impactful ways to make digital tools more user-friendly and inclusive. When websites\, apps\, and content are designed with accessibility in mind\, we take a vital step toward building a more equitable world where everyone can participate fully\, both online and offline.
