Job Title: Assistant Trainer
Role and Responsibilities
The Assistant Trainer will work collaboratively with key NAB staff and subject matter experts, to build and manage partners and programs for visually impaired across Karnataka such as:
- Job Oriented Computer Usage Based Courses
- Blue Collar Technical Training Courses
- Foundation Course (including Mobility, Braille, etc)
- Tutorials for Entrance Exams (Part time)
- Science and Mathematics Tutorials for School/ Colleges (part time)
- Delivery of all training programs of NAB-K to the beneficiaries of NAB-K
- Develop and design curriculum plans to foster beneficiaries learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement
- Delivery of counseling to the beneficiaries and caregivers
- Track and deliver weekly project timelines on the production of training programs to manage expectations based on deliverables, requests and requirements
- Work within the NAB-K framework to manage content, structure and scheduling of training programs
- Provide positive and constructive training resolution to identified operational performance gaps
- Ensure the individual learning plan is completed, updated and maintained for all beneficiaries in liaison with NAB-K Team
- Ensure learners, where required, are entered for End Point Assessment appropriately and ensure timely achievement
- Maintain accurate records of learner attendance which are regularly shared with the relevant NAB-K Team
- Undertake documentation, maintenance of records for beneficiaries of NAB-K.
- Measure the effectiveness of training programs through surveys, solicit feedback, collect content and additional needs assessment.
- Undergo training as per individual learning plans
- Train the Trainers/ Counselors in NAB-K.
- Provide assistance to the Head in outreach efforts with respect to employment, placement, curriculum development etc in NAB-K
- Bachelors required, prefer graduate degree and work experience.
- Masters good to have.
- 2+ years of experience in relevant field
- Experience working in/ or strong passion for working in the NGO sector
- Dynamic and flexible; flexibility and ability to work in a changing environment
- Listen to the needs of the people they serve
- Being able to promote teamwork
- Good communication skills
- Good report writing skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with all participants, peers, and stakeholders
- Must be able to work within a cross cultural setting, negotiate and function well under pressure
