Manager – Community Outreach & Enrolment

About the Role

The Manager – Community Outreach & Enrolment will lead NAB Karnataka’s outreach initiatives across Karnataka by building partnerships with schools, colleges, NGOs, hospitals, government agencies and community organisations.

The role will identify, counsel and enrol visually impaired individuals into NAB Karnataka’s programmes while strengthening awareness of the organisation’s services and promoting inclusive education and early intervention.

Roles & Responsibilities

Community Partnerships

  • Build partnerships with schools, colleges, NGOs, hospitals, CBR programmes and government agencies.
  • Develop district-wise outreach plans and expand NAB Karnataka’s referral network across Karnataka.

Outreach & Enrolment

  • Identify and counsel prospective candidates and their families.
  • Conduct awareness programmes and enrolment drives.
  • Ensure a consistent pipeline of eligible candidates for NAB Karnataka’s programmes.

School & Institutional Engagement

  • Partner with educational institutions to promote early intervention, independent living, digital literacy and career readiness programmes.
  • Encourage inclusive education and transition planning for visually impaired students.

Programme Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with programme teams to align outreach with enrolment priorities.
  • Track outreach activities, referrals and enrolments.
  • Prepare outreach reports, dashboards and recommend improvements to increase enrolment quality.

Who We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Graduate or postgraduate in Social Work, Rural Development, Education, Management or a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of experience in community outreach, education partnerships or social development.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to independently manage outreach initiatives across multiple districts.
  • Fluency in English and Kannada.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Karnataka.

Desirable

  • Experience in disability, education or livelihood programmes.
  • Understanding of Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) and inclusive education.
  • Experience working with schools, NGOs or government departments.

  • Outreach coverage, engagement and awareness programmes conducted.
  • Accurate reporting and outreach documentation.
