Manager – Finance & Accounts
About the Role
The Manager – Finance & Accounts will lead NAB Karnataka’s finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, statutory compliance and effective financial planning.
The role will work closely with leadership, programme teams, auditors and the Accounts Assistant to provide timely financial insights, manage grants and strengthen the organisation’s financial sustainability.
Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Develop annual budgets and monitor financial performance.
- Prepare monthly dashboards, management reports and cash-flow forecasts.
- Provide financial insights to support organisational decisions and growth plans.
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Oversee accounting operations and timely closure of books.
- Review bookkeeping, payments, receipts, reconciliations and statutory dues.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of accounts in Tally and strengthen internal controls.
Grant & Project Finance
- Monitor project budgets and grant utilisation.
- Prepare project-wise financial statements, donor reports and utilisation certificates.
- Identify budget variances and recommend corrective action.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure statutory, tax, CSR, FCRA and NGO-related compliance, wherever applicable.
- Coordinate audits and maintain complete supporting documentation.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, consultants and regulatory authorities.
Team & Process Management
- Supervise and guide the Accounts Assistant.
- Improve financial processes, documentation and approval systems.
- Identify opportunities for automation and more efficient reporting.
Who We’re Looking For
Essential
- B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter, CMA or an equivalent finance qualification.
- 6–10 years of experience in finance, accounting or financial management.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash-flow management and statutory compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Tally and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience with NGOs, trusts or Section 8 companies.
Knowledge of grant accounting, CSR funding, donor compliance and FCRA.
