Cisco Team visited NABK for a sensitisation session focused on Visual Impairment and Assistive Technology. The day was filled with curiosity, learning, laughter and meaningful experiences. Our guests stepped into the shoes of persons with visual impairment through a variety of engaging activities.

They experienced blindfold activities, Trust Walks, identifying objects through touch, and exploring different assistive technologies. They also enjoyed playing Ludo and Chess, discovering how these games can be made accessible and inclusive. From mathematics tools and Braille to various assistive technologies, they explored each resource with great interest and enthusiasm. The blindfold experiences gave them an opportunity to understand, even for a short while, the challenges, adaptations and possibilities in the everyday lives of persons with visual impairment.

What made the day truly memorable was seeing everyone participate wholeheartedly, ask questions, try new experiences and gain a deeper understanding of how accessibility and assistive technology can create greater independence and inclusion.
