An inspiring event of the Twenty First General Kodendera Subayya Thimayya Memorial Lecture was held on Saturday, 13 December 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Rajendra Sinhji Army Officers’ Institute on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Bengaluru.

This year, Dr. Rajdeep Manwani spoke on the theme “A Life Beyond Vision: From Darkness to Direction.” His journey reflects resilience, optimism and the belief that purpose and determination can guide us forward even in the absence of sight. His message is expected to motivate every individual to find strength in challenges and clarity in uncertainty.

During the event, the General Kodendera Subayya Thimayya Medal was presented to Dr. Anand Vinekar in recognition of his significant contributions to pediatric retina care and his leadership of the Karnataka Internet Assisted Diagnosis of Retinopathy of Prematurity (KIDROP) program, which has positively impacted the lives of premature infants across the state.
