NABK celebrated its 49th Founders Day on 27 May 2026 at its campus in Bengaluru, bringing together students, staff, volunteers, supporters, and well-wishers. The occasion was held in memory of Smt. Ratna Atmaram Rao, whose vision and dedication continue to guide the organisation’s work.

Along with celebrating the journey so far, the event focused on NABK’s plans for the future. A key priority is reaching more students across Karnataka by working closely with schools, teachers, community leaders, and social organisations. NABK also aims to strengthen its training programmes by increasing the number of highly qualified trainers, ensuring that students are better prepared for higher education and employment opportunities.

Another important focus area is building stronger relationships with corporate partners. By expanding these partnerships, NABK hopes to create more career opportunities for its students and help them move towards greater independence and success.
The celebration was a meaningful reminder of NABK’s legacy and its continued commitment to empowering people with visual impairments. As the organisation moves closer to its 50th year, it remains focused on creating opportunities and making a positive difference in more lives across the state
