On August 29, 2025, the National Association for the Blind, Karnataka (NAB-K), celebrated National Sports Day with great enthusiasm and community spirit. This special day, observed in honour of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, brought our students, staff, and supporters together to celebrate the values of fitness, inclusion, and teamwork.

The campus buzzed with joy as students participated in fun, accessible events like the lemon & spoon race, cricket match, and skipping rope challenge. The cheers, laughter, and high-fives echoed the energy and determination that our students bring every day. These games weren’t just about competition—they were about celebrating everyone’s abilities, building confidence, and learning through joy.

What made the day even more special was the active encouragement from our staff and volunteers, who ensured every participant felt celebrated. At NAB-K, we believe sports teach life’s most valuable lessons—resilience, collaboration, and self-belief.
As we continue to nurture holistic growth under the #LifeAtNABK initiative, events like this remind us that empowerment begins when everyone gets to play.
